An arrest can create confusion, stress, and uncertainty for everyone involved. At Keys Bailbonding, we help clients across North Carolina understand their options and move through the bail bond process with urgency, discretion, and respect.
A cash bond generally requires the full bond amount to be paid directly to the court. If the defendant appears for all required court dates and the case is fully resolved, that money is typically returned by the court, subject to the court’s process and any applicable fees or conditions.
A surety bond is different. Instead of paying the full bond amount directly to the court, a licensed bail bond company posts the bond on the defendant’s behalf. In North Carolina, the premium for a surety bond may be up to 15% of the bond amount. The premium is a service fee for the bond and is not refundable at the conclusion of the case.
We believe clients deserve clear information from the beginning, along with prompt, private, and professional service every step of the way.
If you are trying to locate a loved one, Keys Bailbonding provides access to county specific jail and detention website links across North Carolina. These resources can help you confirm where someone is being held and gather details that may help you begin the bond process.
Because jail records are managed by individual counties and facilities, information may vary by agency. If you cannot find what you need, our team is here to help guide you through the next steps.
Keys Bailbonding specializes in large bonds and the additional requirements that often come with higher bond amounts. Depending on the case, those requirements may include additional indemnitors, collateral, property liens, and ankle monitoring. If property is being used as collateral, we have access to retained counsel to assist with the lien process and related documentation. If monitoring is required, we can coordinate with a trusted third-party ankle monitoring company to help put those conditions in place.
When large bonds require more structure, documentation, and coordination, our team is prepared to help move the process forward with clarity, professionalism, and care.
